Omni facing Covid-19

01.06.2020

In this scenario of a Coronavirus pandemic that has already exceeded 4 months, Omni continues to seek the best practices in virus prevention through constant updating and appreciable effort by its teams. Always aiming to ensure the safety of everyone (employees, passengers, customers and service providers) and minimize the impact of the crisis on the company's business.

Most of the initiatives were promptly implemented in the first 02 months, demonstrating the commitment to the health of employees and customers, in addition to the rapid adaptation to the new needs imposed by WHO and government agencies in the country.

In May it became mandatory to use a mask inside the company's facilities, extending to workstations and commuting between sectors. The same applies to service providers and visitors, who must be previously advised and prevented from accessing the facilities in case of non-compliance with the provisions. Customized fabric masks were delivered to technical teams and administrative staff. Regarding the technical group, at the beginning of the pandemic, it had masks for medical and hospital use added to the PPE required to perform the work.

Among the measures that aim to increase the protection of the teams, we can mention the thermal and oximetry measurements are carried out on the employees. The check-in has totems for the cleaning of luggage, with an appropriate product, for use by passengers before weighing and boarding. The area is marked with distances from the counter and acrylic protection for the service team.

General hygiene is one of the measures that has been intensively reinforced since the beginning of the pandemic, in all shifts and access areas, including workshops, check-in, briefing etc. Special care was given to the aircraft, which are cleaned at the end of each flight. In order to encourage the adoption of new habits by employees, 70% alcohol dispensers (gel and liquid) available at different points of the facilities were made available. Internal communication has been a constant ally in the awareness of good practices, care alerts to be taken and disclosure of internal procedures, as well as external information that can support employees. All the initiates and internal barriers only work with the group's adherence. Omni counts on a joint commitment to adhere to such measures to overcome the difficult moment that everyone faces.
